I have one of these and the quality is just as good as that Vs. HIK Vision at 1080p 30FPS I made an offer and got mine for about £70 but totally 100% agree standard cameras that operate in lines are old hat and crap...

I got my ipcamera off ebay, cracking bit of kit. it has never left me down, just sits there day after day recording onto a 1tb hard drive.

you could get away with a decent IP camera and record on any laptop/computer. it depends if you want a dedicated recorder or not? I use an old desktop that isn't connected to the web, so just records 24/7 365 days a year.

apples smart watch is what £300-400, the sony smart watch with metal strap is £140 and with rubber strap like £120. I also have a Raymond weil, not sure how much ill wear that now though. there are a few odd and annoying things about the watch, you can watch youtube videos on it and transfer...

and I fooking love it. last xmas I asked for a tablet as I liked the sound of them, plus id used friends ones etc... probably used it 10 times and that's it. cant remember the last time I switched it on, I just don't have a use for a tablet. so I was a little worried I might feel the same...
