    Hmm, its defo an original going by the shape of the pipes etc. Anyway to strip it down or is it better to replace?

    Replaced the coolant temp sensor (right hand side on block) and the needle is still rising and falling? There doesnt appear to be any actual issue but it still makes me worry? its a Phase 1 172 btw. cheers

    Oh theres definatley an issue beside the damp, the belts are due mate, they'll be getting done at the end of the month! If you werent so far i'd be using yourself :(

    I thought that, it does look rather exposed, on wet days it seems to squeel a little longer than normal i gather this is why! Off to look for the offside arch liner then! Cheers Danny!

    Arch liner on a Phase 1 cover the belt (aux) at the bottom? I'm missing mine and it seems the belt is pretty exposed to the elements? :S Cheers

    That would be to do with "The Sweeney" they used a Titanium X Turbo badged up as an ST for the shooting of it. Also, im almost certain the handbrake had something to do with the 'sideways' action.
