    ^yeah true, thats one of the few thing i do actually torque up, valver/williams wheel bolts are notoriously weak (due to the floating collar)

    its easy enough, the fiddly part is removing the circlip, i use long nose pliers to get them out as my circlip pliers wouldn't fit

    Went to renault today with the 129

    i would have a look at the 175 clyinder as that (in my eyes) is considerably lower than the others (was it the clyinder furthest away from the TB by chance?) you don't pull 130bhp because of an exhaust, i still say its timing (highly possible) or a broken rocker (very very rare)

    part numbers are the same, but i ordered one for a 172cup and the fan wouldn't fit to it (different brackets and stuff) i'm 99.9% sure its the same as a 1.6 dynamique with aircon, ring yoz he knows more about it than me

    generally a waste of time, but the forte stuff ain't bad but just use decent oil and change it at regular intevals and you'll have no need for anything

    yeah make sure you get a receipt of work done they might try and reuse the aux belt if they're cowboys, the cambelt should be changed

    i believe what Dan said/says about the bearings is true, renault only make the one size, and any other size is hard to get but what i want to know is why not just get a decent engine for around £500 in the first place? would've saved ALL of the c**k about!

    i "think" if you're car is LHD instead of UK (RHD) the pipes and rack will all be different, i maybe wrong though

    i haven't got autodata on this computer, but i'm pretty sure its around the 160-180 region (as long as they're within that area and are all the same you're ok)

    there's some "hearsay" knocking about when it comes to wrapping yes - if it isn't done right you'd be better off pissing into the wind! (gaps etc etc etc) moisture is b****cks IMO, do you know how hot they get? water evaporates at 100degC remember ;)
