Seagate's have always been good for me - Western Didge are ok too. Had loads, loads, LOADS of problems with Maxtors. If you take into account the 200 PCs we have here, you can bet that a drive will fail when powered by Maxtor.
Crap things.

I think Brian should have his own sticky section - This Month's Driving Tip...
I must admit, the only thing I do regularly is the blip-throttle / downchange action in my car. Feels great when you get it right - so smooth.

I've got the PSU listed below, m8 - works fine for me.

Hanging off that, I have:-
Asus M2N32-SLi Deluxe mobo
AMD AM2 4800+ CPU
2GB OCZ Spec-Ops 800mhz memory
2x 320GB Seagate SATA2 drives
2x Asus EN7900GTX graphics cards, running in...
I love threads like this. People get more defensive about their choice of PC bits than they even do with their cars. ;)
A £1k budget is a good amount. You should easily be able to get a decent setup with that. If you've got some cash left, I'd definitely recommend investing in a new case. I...
I think we have one of the Tixi ISDN mailbox jobbies around somewhere. Never bothered with it really. I suspect the only way you'd get it working is by connecting that to a wireless router in some way.
Strange combination for over here, but I strongly suspect that there will be some German...
I'd like to see what a PS3 has to offer. I doubt that I'd buy one for the first few years though. Got the PC for the serious games - the PSP for the no brainer stuff. :)

You could easily hand over half of your life to GTR2. There are few games out there which keep you planted in your seat and make you strive to get better and better.
There's nothing better than thinking you've done a great lap and then seeing that 'New fastest lap' message appear. And there's...
Yep, still using my HIS-branded 9800 Pro in my old PC. Still good enough for running the likes of GTR2 and Battlefield 2 with medium detail. Good cards, imo.

Fortunately, by not having any brothers or sisters, I am immune to the usual rose-tinted view of siblings.
Basically, he sounds a right d1ck. He's old enough (and laughably) wise enough, not to have taken your car. He's been done before due to the 9 points and yet clearly is oblivious to the...
I was tempted to get this for the PC - or try it out at least. I know what you mean about games like that. It reminds me of Aces of the Pacific - the first game I ever got for a PC back in 1992!

LOL! I did that years ago, but the inner-geek in me told me to jot down where the keys went! ;)
Air-lines are where it's at. You should see the amount of sh1t that collects in fans and PSUs, etc. The PCs almost look new when blasted.

Microdirect (http://www.microdirect.co.uk/) - used them for years with no issues. They've recently updated their website which sh1te imo, but tghey are still great to deal with.

Jeezuz. Not exactly a candidate on 'How to Design a Car'. More like a Blue Peter 'here's one we made earlier'.
PMSL at the earlier comment about it being 'microwaved'! ;)

Great piccies there, matey! :)
Carbon's car looked the danglies - especially from the front with the xenons on!
I like the piccy of mine, Jainy's Vee and the white valver on the right.

Got one of those Orange SPV M600's for work (which I hate) and my own Nokia 6310i (which I hate just slightly less). Absolutely despise mobiles and would happily smash both of them into ten zillion pieces, given half the chance. ;)

From what I've heard, 2GB seems to be the 'acceptable' standard with Vista. I tried the Vista 64 RC1 and it seemed fine on my PC, though I didn't push it too much.
Still running dual-boot XP32 and XP64 at home. It really is amazing how much quicker XP64 is to boot over XP32 - even with feck...
