i had/have a similar problem with my wipers, although that method in the guide section works the gel is crap.
to cold and it freezes and the wipers dontm work, to hot and it drys and the wipers dont work.
ive spent over a year trying to get mine to work properly with no luck.

theres some cool apps out at the mo if your on the right forum. im loving the tv remote app, means i dont have to bother looking for the actual tv remote lol and u can go round mates and annoy them
