You'll either get a high mileage but well looked after 2004 cup packed car for £2k or a low (er) mileage non cup packed 2005 car with sketchy history IME.
Don't let mileage worry you, they go on forever. But whatever you buy make sure it's been serviced regularly and has recent...
What's to stop someone opening up Cliosport.net racing? Own rules and regulations, but just tag along to another series and follow them around?
(Please don't shoot me down, I have no idea how these things are run!)
Basically, we could all argue our points til we're blue in the face, the fact remains that unless 750/ktec listen, they'll have small grids.
If they changed the requirements, set up a race that could involve two drivers (as per tin tops) then I'd bet money that they'd have double the entries...
But what's the point in racing if you're not competitive? Tagging onto the FT would be, imo, soul destroying. getting lapped every time. My mate raced a 106 and when he got bored of being sat at the back getting lapped with the other standard (ish) cars, he had to spend the best part of £17k to...
Then we're back to square one. If you want to spend big bucks on a race car, go and join a proper series.
Entry level racing should be just that; entry level. So standard ecu, a choice of 2/3 suspension kits that cost under £700 and 15 inch wheels with a choice of regulation tyres. Exhaust for...
Exactly. I've got clio's coming out of my ass. I'd love to race one of them competitively. The fact I don't have the time or knowledge to build a £20k+ car is what stops me (and lots of others) trying to compete in the likes of tin tops./ccscc. It's not about talent there, it's about who's got...
I've never had 'that' much of an issue with dust with SRP mate. Although I had 72 brand ne microfibres delivered today so I expect new cloths helped. I've only been using the new stuff for the last week or so but so far so good. I like it!
Adam, one of my older Autoglym pads. Got it slightly...
Seems to me that 750 and ktec have started this series for a gap in the market that isn't there.
Simple logic would suggest that starting a Clio race series, the first point of research would be the worlds biggest Clio forum that already contains several successful Clio race Teams.
And tony...
Kwikfit??? C'mon guys seriously. I wouldn't trust them to sell me a stamp ffs.
They royally ripped my sister off with her car's aircon regas. She ended up taking them to small claims court for the amount of fcukwittery they involved her in.
Needless to say, she took it to a local aircon...
I could get £2500 for a good 172/172 cup.
On the flip side, I could (and just have!) go out and buy a rough 182 for £500.
It's all relative, and there's no such thing as a bargain! If something's cheap, it's because it needs money spending on it.
