Clart - just get yourself employed as a beta-tester m8. I've never known anyone have so many issues with patches as you! :clown:
BF2 itself - update patches for BF2 - now XP SP2. Somebody somewhere would pay you decent money to f**k up their software and find issues with it...

I don't even use AOL CDs as coffee-mug coasters anymore. That's too demeaning to other coasters the world over...
Introducing AOL to a PC (especially a PC that is focused on gaming) is the equivalent of washing your car with a Brillo pad and Happy Shopper washing up liquid combination. It has...
You've no idea how much s**t like this winds me up. It's the nerve of them to steal the car in the first place. They clearly weren't opportunists who walked along and thought 'we'll knick that'. They've probably had their eyes on it for a while and watched the times for the house lights to go...
Thumbs up to Evo for rating the Trophy so highly. If it's a more taut and focused version of the 182 I drive, then I can only imagine the driving satisfaction that it gives its driver.
As much as I would lop two limbs off to own a Porsche 959, mad power and gazillion BHP mean diddly squat to...
You can't go wrong with the Microsoft Sidewinder 2 Force Feedback, m8. Unfotunately, I don't think they (sorry, Logitech) make them anymore. There's probably a few popping up on eBay these days? A solid 3-axis FF stick - used it for years and it still works fine. Flying a chopper in Battlefield...
Dink - I'm praying that you're right on this one m8. Now that the bloody card has turned up, I'm reading all sorts of horror stories on other forums - some users reporting BF2 performing in single-figure framerates after the X-Fi install! :(
Half of me is thinking of returning the card...
LOL :)
"Look, your power goes off and this is a big battery in a box. Ideally it will give your kit enough juice until the power comes back. Any questions? Nope? Right - off to the bar we go..."

Lee - I know what you mean m8. I've had 5 different CL cards - going back to the original SoundBlaster Pro and each had their own quirks. The best one I've had to date was the complete and utter system crash of an Audigy card being installed whilst the PC it was in was connected to a HP...
It was really the only option available to me to improve the spec & performance on my PC. I'm limited to 32-bit CPU and have already maxed that with a 3200XP and the 9800 Pro limits me to the AGP bus.
The nVidia audio codecs just can't handle s**t-loads on screen at once. In online BF2...
Nope - never been. When I've spoke to various people at Sophos though, all seem decent enough.
If you get a decent amount of scran from there, it can't be bad! ;)

Looks to be the next upgrade on my PC. It may also have something to do with the fact that I'll be able to select 'Ultra High' in audio settings for Battlefield 2 now. :D

Personally, I have a massive distrust of wireless stuff. However, it's a real pain in the ricker that those two buildings in-between won't co-operate. It's hardly like you're fitting massive air-conditioning ducts between the buildings, is it?
In the same way, we're in a row of 4 buildings...
Plus points:-
Tints (you can get away with them on a light-coloured car)
Alloys - look good...
So-so point:-
Rear light clusters - not sure if I like them...
Bad point:-
The grille. Not a good move m8! But hey, each to their own! :)

Take a HSF off a running Athlon and a running P4 and see which one lives! Ok, so the Intel throttles back whereas the AMD will redline to oblivion, but surely that's a useful feature to have? I'd rather have a CPU running at 2% but still working than one that went pop because it wasn't cool...
He's got a point. I can't see many hood-wearing scroats being concerned with Nintendos (nowhere near fackin 'ard enough tobe seen playing Mario, is i?) - likewise with PCs as they take some intelligence to use. XBoxs aren't chavvy - yet, either....
Let's face it, if the set designer on a...
