diff engine i know, and apparently a worse one cos its older.......but std vs cammed in ur williams you could tell the diff no questions.
as you say tho, weighing up the 2....no comparison.
personally id go with a 1.2 unsunroofed model and throw the willy or valver susp on, and a meg 2.0 in, with a valver dash/loom. thats if i was building a track car, and i didnt happen to have a spare williams 1 sat doin nowt ;)
fair point on the regs etc. personally i think theyd be better off teaching people how to drive properly in the first place. after all, the aim of passing the test is to show confidence and prove that you have full control of the car. abs/tc/esp etc etc etc all detract from a driver EVER having...
lol.yes i drove it normally......which to most on here would be caining the arse out of it...and teh cs police id just be plain stupid/wrong/c**t/........whatever.
yes clios are normal cars...the rs range though should be a step above, and more. they are the hot hatch, and we all...
depends really.... iv smoked loads of vts's in the williams, and also 172s....but craggy bought 1 new a few years ago....was always pretty much dead level, altho his ran a few tenths quicker than mine down the strip, that was always caught back up further down the road. 0-limiter in 5th, id take...
yeah it has some fancy instruments...but compared to the williams....the driver involvement is almost zero....felt so detatched from the 200 when driving it. granted, i didnt thrash it round a track, but new cars just seem to lack soul.
beware the valver. used properly and the roof will buckle just behind the sunroof. not exactly detrimental to how they drive, but an eyesore none the less. williams all the way tbh.
and i wouldnt bother with a 3....1s or 2s. rust is an issue on them, as it is with all cars of that age, my...
lol @ all the unreliable comments ......mostly from people who dont have a clue or any experience of owning/driving one of these cars.
the general service items are cheaper than the 1*2 items, the major componants are cheaper than 1*2 items
yes they do suffer from the dreaded tin worm, but...
had many many minis over the years...from 1000s to 1430s and pretty much evrything in between, deseamed, webasto roofs, stripped on 10s, loaded on 13s....
id like a wood n picket, or something along those lines....id settle for an era...just....just not a huge fan of the lamm kit.
i will...
i must have a couple of screws loose then lol
i drive my car cos its what i want to drive.im a bit older than 35, doesnt stop me hooning round in it when i feel the urge tho. and working on it keeps me young lol
hopefully be on the lookout for an original mini soon too....
so the f7r is the same engine as the 172, 182, 197 and 200.....lol....time to do some research for you i think.
mini isnt liked cos it lacks everything the original mini stood for. end of really. as is the case with nearly all new cars.
its also like saying the new mini cooper is better than the old one, the original one. remember, like the beetle, this car was a way of getting a hell of a lot of people motoring relatively cheaply. hmmmm...of course, the new mini cooper betters that by being far too much money, having nowhere...
hmm.. obviously not then as you say so....the journey home from tweeks in matts car mustve been a figment of my imagination.....with me just sat in thin air making noises.
and lmao at all the newer is better s**t....get a grip ffs......newer in car terms is undoubtedly , pretty much same...
