Yeah Golf's are nice cars, it would have been a mk4 though not a new one and they're hardly the best drivers car. I owned one for a few months before I got the phase 1 earlier in the year. I love where the gear stick is in the Civic

You havent posted the link to the HU you're talking about. I want to do something with the system in my car, will probably be next year now though. I would budget for some sound deadening too, does make a big difference

Dont bother with the 1.6 imo.

My 172 had an open cone on it when I bought it. Replaced it with a standard airbox and didnt notice a massive difference in sound / performance but did gain a nice increase in MPG.

Guy I know has one and loves it.

Is that the facelift version?

My old one was on 72k when I bought it and only had two owners. Still needed a cambelt service though. If I hadnt taken the seat mounts out with a grinder I would still have it. Could be worse though, I nearly bought a Golf.

Yeah given the choice I would probably go boost over ITB, as much as I like the noise from ITB's they're very pricey. Being honest though I will probably have another car before I do anything to mine. I want another phase 1.

All Clio's need spacers. I'm not a fan of the standard 172 or 182 wheels at all. They look too big for the car.

Looks lovely in white and will look loads better with the spoiler and mirrors painted. I'd probably change the wheels too if it was mine, maybe something in grey rather than black

Quality unit though. Have a look for an Alpine CDE 9880? I used to have one of these and sold it about a year ago. Wish I hadnt though, was an excellent unit.
