Yeah this is quite long as it goes from the manifold all the way back to the back box and has to work its way over the steering rack. Sounds like a plan then! :D

Put the old regulator back in, bond the reg to the window, take the new one back and get a refund.

Go careful! I had mine done a few years back and the filler sank. iirc, I started a thread on here about it and people said ideally it needs welding up and the thinner the filler the better. Don't quote me on that though.

To get the engine/gearbox/brakes/suspension/ECU/loom/subframe/exhaust/keys etc etc etc will cost you £1500 at least. A decent ph1 172 will cost you about £2k. Imho, I'd not bother.
