Pay someone an hours labour, get it diagnosed, buy a secondhand part to replace it and do it in your driveway.

I bought what I thought was a minter, but upon removing the interior found even more rot than i'd ever expected.

When I worked at Renault, you could buy a Scenic on a PCP with a £199 deposit. At the time Clio wasn't on offer so the minimum deposit was £995.

Any Renault dealer can do it. My local one matched it yesterday.
PCP's are available from any dealer.
PCP's can be used on a used car, but the manufacturer offers no support so the APR will be about 12/13/14 percent.
it takes about 20 minutes as a first timer to take the inlet and the fuel rail guard off. Wipe them over with white spirit/degreaser and paint using Halfords VHT paint.
I've just done mine and it looks brilliant. But I did my last clio with hammerite and a brush and it looked a bit s**t tbh.
Rather than have the seatbelt tied around the seat, go to the scrapper and cut a belt buckle off an old car and plug it in on the clio. No more beeping and looks a lot nicer!
Well it may or may not be relavant to you, but my mate had his aston martin bare shell painted and the guy that did it (restores classics) said not to polish for at least three months. Give the paint time to breath properly and settle.
