    engine knock 172 phase 2

That's a different knock all together, plus he said it only happens when he boots it and changes gear, i've had both knocks on mine and the top mount knock happens every time you pull away, brake and turn, even at slow speeds. Whereas the dogbone knock is more pronounced under hard acceleration...

    engine knock 172 phase 2

An hours labour I reckon, so about £50/£60 quid, they'll have to cut out the old bushes and press in the new ones. As for the whine, it's hard to tell without a video of the noise. Where in the country are you?

    engine knock 172 phase 2

It usually a symptom of a worn engine or gearbox mount, usually the (lower) dogbone mount, most of us upgrade the dogbone bushes to powerflex ones, as this normally stops the knocking. It's not serious or expensive, but it's best to do it sooner rather than later.

    West Midlands Area Sticker

Really? 60mm in length is tiny, barely the size of my little finger. 10cm/4 inches would be better, big enough to see but small enough to not take up too much space.

What do you think about 6 inches, or would you rather discuss the sticker?

    West Midlands Area Sticker

I think the URL should be a decision for Andy to make, if he says it not doable or a massive PITA then we should ditch it.

    West Midlands Area Sticker

No tweaking needed the design's perfect, it's just the size and the URL that need tweaking imo.

    West Midlands Area Sticker

The only reason I put the text at the bottom was because there was nothing to signify the club, but we can lose it if it makes it easier? Personally i'd like a white or silver external sticker.

A few pics from tonight at Knockhill/ advice wanted.

I'd imagine continuous or auto servo would be the one, I tested mine out on the dog when I was down the park, basically try them all until you find the one that continually changes focus on a moving object. Dogs/kids/mates running/cars on the motorway etc.

A few pics from tonight at Knockhill/ advice wanted.

Mk2 Escort looks mean! If your camera has an AE Servo lock you can use that for the fast moving cars, I have that on my Canon 5D, once you focus lock on the car it will automatically adjust the focus as the target moves, you can get the blurred background that signifies speed, whilst the...

If Renault had designed the bumper like that to begin with, the plate wouldn't hang off the bottom.

Rear exhaust mount - dam bolts!

If it's corroded the round nut thing might be rusted on, you may have no option but to saw them off and replace the bolts. If you need a new mount then ECP is the place to go, I think they're £12 quid, they're utter sh*te but if you're cutting the rubber out then it won't matter.

Rear exhaust mount - dam bolts!

What's wrong with the Prima mount? I bought a brand new mount from ECP, it was f*cked within a week, Prima is the only way to go imo, shame my credit card's maxed out or i'd have one on there now. :dapprove: Unless you do the Powerflex/ziptie bodge of course.

Rear exhaust mount - dam bolts!

I had this on mine, it's a f*cking nightmare tbh. They're held in place by a round nut that's welded to the chassis, when the weld breaks the round nut just spins, I had to go to a garage and put it on a lift to get enough access, it still took two large blokes with a breaker bar and some...

    Armrest.

I looked at these when I first got my Clio, as I missed the armrest I had in my Golf, as far as I can tell, there's nowhere to mount it despite it saying it's a direct fit.

New to the forum - check out my new purchase!!

I like it, it's different but it's alright, debadged rear looks really good, I wish I could be arsed to fill the two holes the 'Clio' badge leaves on mine. What happens when it rains though, does your airbox fill up with water?
