Saner, do you think the cup vs FF bhp is to do with the aircon? Thats my personal take on it. At the fly mate. Inlets. The Standard inlet manifold is about 1mm smaller than the gasket and as rough as a badgers ass. About £150 sees it machined out properly and some healthy gains can be had!

yes 10 hp is probably realistic, but bear in mind that about 75% of CLio 172/182's only make about 160hp....

If you want to mod the clio 'properly' expect to pay circa £4,000 on either a Turbo/ITB's or a Supercharger. The F4r engines don't respond to tuning. At all. £ per bhp is rediculously bad. Induction kit/decat/cams/exhaust/remapping may see you with 15hp. for about £1200!! lol. The best...
