I know my mates Megane 1.6 16v cambelt snapped and it dod absolutely no damage whatsoever! Fitted new belt, off he went! lol.

I know an old member (No longer on here) had his rebuilt to the tune of £1200. It all depends on how much damage has been done.

1) Take car to a proper dealer/specialist and bung them £50 to diagnose problem and write it on headed paper. 2) Take car and headed paper with faults to this ''Engine Rebuilder'' and tell him to sort it under warranty. 3) Done.
