I personally prefer better tyres on the rear. I can control understeer, but the once or twice ive had oversteer i've done a 180.

Get a mk2 ph1 1.2 16v sport. Will deffo pick a very clean one up for less than £2k and they are really nice little cars. I doubt you'll get a sensible insurance quote on anything over a 1.2 if you have no no claims.

Just get some £30 alpines and about a fivers worth of cable. Sorted.

The belts/pulleys have less work to do. The belts go around the steering pump, driving it making your steering lighter. If you remove this, its one less thing the car has to do, making it more efficient. Bear in mind it has to be removed properly. You don't just empty the fluid and hey...
