Bonnet switch. Open the bonnet and there will be (above one of the headlights in the black plastic slam panel cover) a bonnet switch that detects if the bonnet is open. Nine times out of ten it is these. Not too sure what can be done though :S When I worked at Renault loads of the new cars...
