If its not been used for a year, then bank on spending £4-500 on it. (belts would have gone crusty, oil, filters, etc etc)
I personally think that if its clean and original, £2k is a good price anyway!
Any less, and your laughing!
Weather looks ok??
Combe has its own meteorological (sp) system. Its so f**king random!!
I am def going to try and go though. Been to pretty much everything at combe this year, but i've never ever been to a rally day.
I know BMW's quite well, and the people that buy them.
I will put money on it, that you have polished about £1500 more value into that car.
Good work!!
Re: not a clio sorry.
I think you've done well, but imo i'd stick some gloss black VTS 4 spokes on it and put standard rear lights back on and that is a very nice first car!!
Wierd car this.
I don't like them at all. And 9 times out of 10 i dislike the helmets that drive them.
BUT! I will own one within the next year as I've always fancied one.
I can't believe people would even consider spending £4000 on a Clio engine.
Just buy a faster car!
I can understand filters/remaps etc, but £4000 on a charger that will void 99% of your warranty just sounds a bit dumb.
Just so you know, if you were to buy them brand new from Renault, with badges, you're talking £80 + vat and thats with staff discount. I bought some for my old 172 and then had to spend another £40 getting them painted.
I can't help think that the rear would look a lot better with the badge removed, and a smaller (perhaps Jap?) number plate recess.
Loving the car though mate. Good work.
At Renault, I had a couple of clio's that came back with leaking door rubbers.
I also had 2 (or maybe 3?) come back with water leaks, and it was the rear side window seals.
