How many miles has it done? Mine had 4500 when i got it nearly 12 months ago. I can honestly say its a different drive now. Its much more loose and more economical. It certainly a tad more eager now
They have already done a limited edition.
The R27 only 500 in the UK (and just to be an anorak there are only 55 in my colour in this country)!:approve:
You will learn soon that that is not the way to drive it. If you really want to open it up and give it the berries it will need to be dropped to 5th, or even 4th if you were doing 60 or so and then floor it. You will get to 110 a lot faster that way I can tell you.
Do not be frightened to rev...
These facts you speak of, where are they published? I would like to read them.
He couldnt put his CD face in safe keeping at work as he was scared it would be stolen there. He couldnt leave it at home as it would make a nice expensive dust collector so he left it out of sight under his seat, a...
lol at this thread and all the talk of e-penis.
I think to make things even more simple than they already are we should include CTR's, 206 GTi 180's, 197 in both cup and FF versions and ST's (if we must) oh and chitty chitty bang bang
Now which "noob" would like to start to discuss all...
Oh and there is fook all wrong with the gear box and it will easily keep with 182 in a straight line. A 197 is years ahead a 182 in terms of development and therefore feels more refined. I have been glued to the back of a CTR before (the fast one) and they were supposed to be the 182s...
I have a Nimbus R27 and its specced up to the hilt. Phil at Renault Bolton hasnt sold one so specced before.
I bought it when the country was firing on all cylinders in terms of financial stability and it cost me just something like 16k 12 months ago. He could have sold it four times over that...
RBHynes, I work on the 4th floor in India Mill.
I drive a Nimbus R27.
I also saw you driving down the main road in Darwen to turn off for the motorway. After reading your posts I guess you were going home given the time!
Anybody who thinks they are going to get 200bhp from a 1*2 with an aftermarket exhaust and a map is clearly fcuking bonkers, and if it does then the rolling road is, well plainly a liar.
ICARUS is so sure, (and this chap knows his stuff) he offered all sorts to the guy to which he turned down...
Yes, I have owned one all be it for a short period because it was utter dross (i must have got a bad one). If you largley agree then how have I left myself wide open?
Also notice how I said compared to the FF the cup is poverty stricken, I stand by my remark..... it is. Check the spec sheets...
Get the FF. Why anyone would want a poverty stricken car (in comparison to the FF I mean Munson before you start) for road going use is beyond me. If your going on track then a cup might help you shave some time off the lap.
Get a FF and get one thats been specced well.
Dont understand this at all. You buy a car, do it up a bit then leave it in the garage to look at?
If you are stone broke then yea, eat and drink first. (and possibly even sell the car)
If you have a second car to run about in because you want to keep your Clio mint for years and years and...
I dont know what people are arguing about here. Your car can be made much faster than it is now providing you have deep pockets. Will it have the pace of a 1*2? will it balls.
If you spend lots of money on a 1.2 to make it something you should have bought in the first place then your wasting...
Just imagine if you caught one of them. Just imagine it!
I would seriously tear them a second @rse hole. I get wound up by reading when people have had this done to them, its just a sorry state of affairs.
Id love to get hold of one.
You can do it in a fwd car, lift off oversteer. Some journo did a guide on how to do it proper on a video recently in a 197 cup but I cant find the vid. Ill look later for you.
However, the morons in the above videos really deserve to smash the cars up. I hope it happens.
Had a couple of "nice car" comments at the petrol station.
I once overtook an AA van at a rate of knots and then it became apparent he was following me! I sh1t myself because I thought I was going to get a right telling off.
Turns out he was going to McDonalds for his lunch too, parked next...
You will grow to love it even more. I couldnt imagine driving anything else now to be honest. My R27 is deffo a keeper.
However, those tailpipes make it look like a wheel barrow.
If you like 'em than thats all that matters I guess. I personally think they are gash.
Apart from looking...
