The oil thing is only coming from the back, by that seperator pipe, where the renaultsport bit joins the main lump of the engine...
went out this evening to change the plugs as the car is misfiring like a pig. i cleaned the engine last week, so i just thought water had got in, no big deal.....it happened on the last 172, its an easy fix.

IMo, liquid yellow does the car no justice at all. Silver or black is the way forward.
As for the recaro haters, give it a week living with them, and any other seat feels like a park bench! they are bloody brilliant!!

The most common leaking place is the rear lights and the rear side windows. The rear side windows cost about £35 a side from someone like national windscreens to re seal, and the rear lights can be done with a tube of clear bathroom...

Keep it. Worst thing i ever did was sell mine. Even bought an evo as a replacement, and i've still ended up with a Clio!!

Brakes do surprise me. I'd have thought they would have 4 pots on there.
