Some info posted on MR Forums:
Just phoned up the Regent Street store to see if I could get confirmation on the reservation I've made. Here's the outcome, much of which has already been confirmed.
1) Stores don't yet have access to the allocation system being used for the iPhone 4 release...
Looking very arcadey in that clip but I'm guessing it was configured on a easy level? Shame it was not a HD video as I'm sure the graphics look better than that.
No difference at all. If you are upgrading then you will get a micro-sim with your iPhone at a Apple store. Hopefully sim-free customers can also get a micro-sim when purchasing the handset.
o2 have never sent me any emails regarding the iPhone 4 despite having signed up for news on the day the registration page appeared online. My chances of them sending me a micro-sim are no doubt slim.

I'm glad I chose a sim-free iPhone 4.
Orange £35 per month, 18 months, £319 handset cost = £949
Sim-free 32gb, Simplicity £20 per month = £959
The simplicity tariff also gives me 1200 texts which is much better than the 500...

I cancelled the bumper and it made no difference at all to my delivery estimate :D
I think I've decided to completely cancel my online order and collect my Apple Store reservation instead so that I can guarantee getting it next...
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
If you ordered yesterday you could still get a 16gb 3GS for only £20 more. Apple are taking the piss with the new pricing.
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
I don't think that will be a option. Apple have introduced a 8gb Black 3GS at a ridiculous price of £419!!! I think this will be the only 3GS handset available.
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
Adding accessories to iPad pre-orders did the same thing but they mainly dispatched on time and before the launch date so I would think this will be the same.

Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
I'm sure most areas of Scotland will also see delivery of the handset on the 24th, no reason at all why not.
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
I'm guessing they mean remote parts of Scotland. I see no reason why central Scotland would have any issue with delivery on 24th.
* Delivers on June 24th excludes Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man Scotland and Northern...
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
I think the white iPhone 4 looks too much like a girls phone this time around, black was the only sensible option for me.
Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
I've also reserved a 32gb at my local Apple store in Glasgow and may cancel the online order. I think I may rather collect at 8am than have the fools at my work sign for the parcel

Re: iPhone 4/iOS4 Info (Read this before starting more threads)
I'd rather pay a bit more upfront than be locked into a contract for 18/24 months. Financial situations beyond my control may arise during that time and maybe I cannot pay my contract, this way I don't need to worry about that.
