I'd use the one I was least worried about for commuting. The 'shed' diesel route is a good idea imo, that way if it picks up a few car park dings & scrapes i'd not worry about it.

The heated mirrors only come on with your heateted rear screen iirc.

I think my old mans got a 2007/2008 disc (I got it for him, but can't remember) his doesn't do the post code though :( The old disc he had didn't do it either. I guess your disc is that bit newer or something :)

I've not seen a silver one before, i've seen white ones & black ones. They all seem really high too, they either aren't lowered at all, or the tyres they put on them have a really skinny side wall.

Get the disc off ebay, you want Carminat, vdo dayton. Just get the UK one (unless your off abroad) the whole lot costs a fortune though.

P4ers- I thought you were looking at mk1 Focus RS's ?? I'd wait a year to so until they've dropped a bit tbh (unless you can get a good deal on one ?) Although for the money (and if you don't need back seats) i'd be putting the money into a nice mk2 vee.

Neoprine mate, it's a sort of plasticy/rubber material (same as in a phase1 172) Alcantra to match the gear gaitor etc will look cool.

I'd leave it alone tbh, if you have the plate too short it'll look naff because of the recesses on the bumper, full plate with just the four characters will look nice.
