they use a plastic clear coating its w**k when it chips it starts to peel and rust

just left them bare metal,and polished them every week,lol

yep did them my self,i flatted the rim untill it was bare metal then got the wheels ready for paint then using fine line tape i masked around the edges and taped them off,then polished using metal polish.
