The routing choices it makes still puts me off of buying it though, people complain about that more than anything. With TT the routing is mainly excellent.

Yes it's a very tactical game and I think it is excellent. I'm guessing that people who do not like this do not appreciate the slow nature of how the game should be played. well worth investing in if that sounds like the sort of game for you.

TomTom has worked great for me, was very useful in Mallorca.
NDrive looks like a interesting alternative.
