    iOS "must have" apps

Re: iPhone "must have" apps? I'm on 3.1b3 but I've had the problem since the 3G on 2.0 I phoned Alpine to ask if they had a fix for the problem and they basically said the X001 does not support the 3G or 3GS.

    iOS "must have" apps

Re: iPhone "must have" apps? I'll give that a try thanks, may make more sense rather than having to buy a lower spec Alpine replacement. For now it charges perfectly via the USB connection, it's just the sound output which is buggered.

    iOS "must have" apps

Re: iPhone "must have" apps? I've read that using the KCE-422i Full Speed cable will not charge the iPhone, is this correct? If so I reckon I'll replace the headunit instead. EDIT: Yeah JD that would be good.

    iOS "must have" apps

Re: iPhone "must have" apps? I'll maybe try the iPhone connected via the Alpine 'High Speed' cable rather than the supplied USB connection.

    iOS "must have" apps

Re: iPhone "must have" apps? Yeah same model as me which was released shortly before the original iPhone. I'm going to sell on my X001 and replace it with a Alpine 104BTi instead. Not as nice a HU to look at but it is listed as having iPhone support. My X001 works perfectly with all iPods.

    iOS "must have" apps

Re: iPhone "must have" apps? No I tried everything you listed but it still stutters and breaks up often. Bloody useless connection. Is it the X001 you have or the X100?

    iOS "must have" apps

Re: iPhone "must have" apps? Have TT confirmed the dock will be £100? I'll be surprised if it costs anywhere near that amount. If you want European mapping I think you'd buy that for £79.99 and not but the UK version and the Euro version.

    iOS "must have" apps

Re: iPhone AppStore must haves? Thanks I'll give that a try. Were you experiencing the same sound loss problems? It does not always do it so I knew there must be some way of avoiding it. I've just remembered I do use Bluetooth but not via the hu. Are you rebooting the iPhone before using it in...

    iOS "must have" apps

Re: iPhone AppStore must haves? No it's a direct connection to my Alpine X001 Headunit. I plan on resetting the HU this weekend to see if it cures the problem, I've also been told that rebooting the iPhone before using it in the car may help.
