There used to be a Renault guy on here, from a dealer. He gave good discounts on new Renault parts. I remember paying in the region of £120 for an alternator for my Cup. I cant remember the name though, take a scout in the trader section.

But then you're still spinning the alternators internals and generating the heat..

Berks and Bucks really do have a void of Renault Specialists. The three I've used, Stone/Woodfood and BTM have all shut, or almost shut.

Came in here to say Flux would do this. They were the only company who would offer some flexibility and insure the Evo while it was still rocking its Manx plates too.

TBH, if they're changing the alternator and the belt anyway, I'd be chucking on a new tensioner and whatever else is there.

Aren't the water pumps driven off the timing belt on 1*2s? New alternator and aux belt, most garages should be competent enough for that.

How far away is your garage? You could cut your aux belt off and drive on just the battery if it's a REALLY short distance.

Anyone with an AW1 suddenly experiencing crap battery life? Mine used to last 2 days, easy. Over the last couple of days it's barely lasted one!

Yeah, believe so. I think it's 1.5 or 1.53 or something.

When I first got the VI, I thought - it's going to take ages to get used to this much power, (not taming it, just it feeling new and exciting) then I jumped in it on Sunday and I felt a little underwhelmed. I was thinking, how has it lost that feeling already... Turns out the boost controller...

But then I'd be spending from my "what breaks next" fund.. TBH my car is covered in aftermarket carbon already; probably from evobits! :grin:
