I really cannot see why you have settled for a 206GTi with all those flaws as you put it! Why didnt you go for a used Clio 172, as you seem to have preferred it over the Pug?
Sounds like you will be incurring a lot of expense to get a comfy driving position, grippier lower profile...
Likewise, my 172 Mk2 wheels also looked great when they were put on the Raider.
Their very angular lines suited the GTT and the dark blue colour of the car very well.
Hi Jilly :)
I am here! I must have missed this post earlier.
Mat, have you christened your new car yet? No doubt it will be a girl, so how about MATILDA or MATTIE for short, which are derivatives of Mat!!
:)

Sorry about the daft comment above. I have had a few vodkas!!
It is shocking that some people go round damaging others cars. Fortunately where I live, people usually admire owners cars, rather than damage them, and there are loads of really smart cars like Mercs, Beemers, TVRs, Audi TTs...

I agree that these clear lights look awful on dark coloured cars.
There are a couple of silver VTS cars around here with them and they suit them, but on anything darker, they really dont look right!
Just my opinion.

My 172 would not keep up with my husbands M3, especially on a long straight, it might be OK around the country lanes!! Although I dont know how the 330 engine compares with the M3s engine, me being a girlie!!

Have you got a pic that you could scan and put on here? I tried my local newsagent and they dont have the mag. I will try elsewhere at the weekend.

I had a Scorpion system on my S16 Pug with a K&N induction kit and it sounded rich and throaty without being too loud. Everyone could hear my car approaching and all said it sounded great, so much better than the sound of my 172.
