Aye, after reading up a bit before hand I was finding that people were getting better results at lower shutter speeds, so i decided to try and chuck myself in at the deep end and go for it! Harder than I thought it would be but very addictive, you just keep trying harder and harder to get the...
Yes my sensors dirty as a *****!
It has the latest version of Canon's IS which has panning detective in built and they have done away with the mode switch. IS was on for all of these!
It was mine and my mate's first go at motor racing, him with his Nikon D80 + 18-200 VR and me with my 400D + 55-250 IS, I think we did ok with 0 experience between us!
Right here's a bunch of ones i have processed, the cropping could be better on some but I was in a rush and at work :D
350Z...
Great pics! The only thing I would suggest is use a slower shutter spead on the pans for a greater sense of speed, the wheels look a little too static on a few of them. Otherwise brilliant!
I will give that a go definitely nigel, its just that because my lenses aren't great they tend to lose sharpness at lower speeds so I have been inclined to use higher shutters. Thanks for the advice!
BTW - Didn't realise these were so dark, I uploaded them at work and have just got home and...
He's pretty good dubai, but he tells me he's a bit past his peak because he doesn't play as much as he used to. Yeah I love his late release, he's got 10-15 yards on me because of that, damn him! I'm trying to work on mine at the moment.
Agreed, timing is the key, its not easy to catch something that accelerates from 0-120mph-0 in 1.5 seconds so just going for one shot is the best way.
P.S. Its a pitty you cut off the clubhead in the mickleson shot, that would have made it very nice!
Man I'm so jealous! Not bad for a first effort at all!
With regards to the timing, it just comes with practice, I've nailed it not so that I can get a shot of the impact pretty much 80-90% of the time it just takes a lot of practice!
Just got my cokin P series holder + adapter and I also bought an ND4 grad filter from ebay for £7.
Well you get what you pay for put it that way! I thought I would take some photos for examples of the compromise in image quality.
All shots were taken with my Sigma 70-300 APO f/4-5.6 at f/8.0...
Thanks! Got it all from ebay, lens was £90 (Bargain, especially since its the APO version!), Monopod was £30 and is new, as were filters/holders etc.
OK, thanks for the advice, I have never really done it before so wanted to know what people with experience thought. :D
Hey guys, after having not used the 400D in a while due to lack of funds for new gear I have decided (now i've paid off my credit card lol) that it was time to invest a small amount in some gear to get my going again. So here's what I have bought:
Sigma 70-300 APO DG f/4-5.6
Manfrotto 676B...
Hi, I've just purchased a Canon Pixma MX310 which I am very happy with!
I require borderless printing for doing some photos, but when i go into the options and select borderless printing, it comes out really faint and lacking much colour. It does warn me when i select borderless printing that i...
I have had an orbit 2 for 3 weeks and had an N95 (fully firmware upgraded etc) for 1 year before that. Go for the orbit 2 definitely. Windows mobile is in a different league to symbian tbh.
There are only a couple of things i liked about my N95 which arent as good on the orbit and they are...
I have just got a O2 XDA Orbit II (HTC Touch Cruise) and its absolutely class tbh. I've had symbian phones in the past (N80, N95) and they were very good but the windows phones are different league tbh. Great phones!
It comes with free Copilot satnav, WM6 and touchflo which is ace because it...
Wel the N82 albeit a great phone is barely different from my 95 except for more RAM. And i don't like the look of it compare with the 95 8GB.
dick I like your suggestion but i really need in built GPS im afraid. :(
Windows generally cant handle a weak signal and I suspect this is the problem. As said above the only way to really tell is to move the laptop closer to see if it works there.
