I had a look or rather a stare from a guy in a gorgeous Cupra GTi yesterday. His car sounded and looked great and it was black and shiny too and had a nice looking twin exhaust. It sounded much throatier than my Clio, a bit like my last car sounded with its K&N and Scorpion etc.
As petes said, DONT take a personal cheque for your car, as it could have been stolen and if you let the guy away with your car, you will then have lost both your car and the money for it.

I have to agree with you that the Contisports are very slidy at times. I changed mine after only 400 miles when I got my new wheels and the Toyos with their nice tread pattern - so much more grippy too!
