Simon, is this when the car is idling? I had a similar problem with an XR2i a few years ago and it was something to do with the engine management system and it cost me about £80 at the time from Ford! Robbers!

Desmondo and Magnet, have you looked in your spare wheel well recently? If I remember correctly I think that you both had water ingress in the boot!

What would happen if tickets/passes were stuck elsewhere on the windscreen? Particularly if traffic wardens and others arent aware of this patch. What is an Extreme like?

I have never seen my exhaust! Presumably it is hiding behind the bumper!

Stu, there are quite a few STUs with an assortment of numbers on websites other than the DVLA, but theyare £600 - several thousands of pounds! Have you something else in mind? Surname? Nickname?

GP they are everywhere arent they? We have loads of Coopers here, in a myriad of colours too!

All Vauxhalls are spoiled by that hideous silver --V-- thing on the front grille! We had a couple of V6 Calibras until that front changed!
