Dunno I like the rawness of the 172 cup but I do love my new 182 cup, alot more grip frond the wider tyres. They feel better built aswell.

Well I think the power is different due to renault trying to prevent wheel spin so they changed something, could be wrong just my opinion. I thought it could of been something to do with the ESP.

Yeah that should be the case. I've had both 172 cup and 182 and they seem to put there power down different, more power lower down the rev range but the 182 has more at the top end.

It's the manifold they got the 10 bhp from, exhaust itself is different too. Get them for about £200 off here mate.

Been out this morning and found the leak, took the air box out and it's where there is a join in the 2 coolant pipes, looks like a missing clip so I've just cable tied it for now till I get to the dealers.

Yeah there perfect heights for kerbs so most owners crack 1 at some time. Hard to repair aswell but I'd def stick with the standard 1 as they look best.

The type r struggles with traction off the line making what I've owned a 172 cup and 182 cup quicker in my experience. And as for handling the Clio is miles better around the twisties although the civic is more stable around high speed bends. Very similar performance it's what ya prefer really...

Just checked under the bonnet and it's coolant as the bottle is empty. Bugger

Not had my 182 long but I've noticed a wet patch under the car, it doesn't smell and isn't oil. I don't use the air con so not that. Seems like water. Any1 had this before? Cheers kev.
