Apart from the service book being stamped up it should have written down what was done. The seller should also have the invoice for the work too.

Welcome, the cambelt is well overdue tbh, it's about £500 or so from a specialist. if the cars not had the auxillary belt done, it'll need that too (cambelt & aux is circa £500) If it had FSH it should have had all the above done. Leaking rear shocks, fairly common tbh, there are a few on...

Mine wasn't. I originally wanted a silver mk1 vee (nice and original) but my blue one came up for sale. I knew how stupidly rare a blue mk1 was, saw it & it was a minter, so I got it. Happy days !

Local car paint shop then, give them the code & ask for an aerosol of it.

In pics of a mk1 172/vee interior the blue is really noticeable, in real life it's not as over powering & looks better.

No not at all, cat D or any category for that matter, is when the car goes through the insurance company & it's not financialy viable to repair it. Hope that helps.

Yeah the plate 1 DA could go on a short plate, providnig the letters were the right height & width and the 11mm border all the way round was there etc :)

Yeah ebay, then get a potato & some ink, cut the spud up a bit so you can make your own service history stamps. Then get stamping, sorted;)

Yeah you can, although you want a mk2 vee/182 trophy spolier, you'll need the shorter boot struts too, to stop it from hitting the roof. Don't get a spoiler from a mk1 vee as it's just a normal 172 one.

Fpmsl - straight to the point as ever.
