do the new price changes only affect cars registered AFTER they were confirmed? the reason i say this is because when they changed in 2001 from size of engine to amount of emissions, that change only affected cars registered after that date. (i.e. u still pay £160 for a V reg 2.0l alfa romeo)...

i hate all this talk about torque helping cars on track, if your car (eg clio RS) doesnt have much talk, u just keep in on cam! the only time torque comes into play is if u are in higher gears at low speeds. at the end of the day Torque is just a factor of Power with relation to revs, the clio...

my VTS is like that, some days it feels really responsive and others, it just feels just normal. i love cold winterry morning when its really fresh, thats when it seems quickest, i put it down to the air temp/density :D probs just in my head though!

my GF's must definitely be an import then cos the other day i realised it had no locking nuts! just rang renault in Hull and they quoted me £110 for the alarm and £247+vat to fit... f**k that!

my gf's (the car in question, as i have a Saxo) doesnt say a model on the V5, only that its a renault, will check ring them and check if its an import later, but im a bit gutted, cos u just expect everything to be fine dont u!

i have tried this in my gf's new 02reg 172, and i have no idea why it wont work. i actually figured it didnt have an alarm, because i can't find anything in the manual about it (which i found very odd on the top of the line model!). but then after reading some posts on here i see 172/182s do...

tbh i would never ever say my VTS would keep up with a 172/182. i did a quick test on a derelict(sp) road in mine to 100 and it was around 20s to 100 indicated, but i reckon its probs between 21-22 realistically accounting for error. i have had a quick play with a 182 as i said, and he clearly...

aye mines standard 2 apart from the painted C2 VTS badges, id like to lower it as they look like theyre on stilts as standard but tbh it always puts a smile on my face, chuck it anywhere and it copes!

the clio is much better all round don't get me wrong, but for £3500, its y reg, excellent condition, with 36k on the clock, and the engines r pretty much bullet proof as standard, cant go wrong! except for the rest of it falling apart that is! :D

i need the spherical lense in your light cluster to get this as i think it refracts the blue light to the top. buy some new light clusters with this sphere and i think that will work? although im not sure. the HID kit will just make them much brighter.

Has anyone used this oil? i got it recommended to me by a 172 owner (not sure if hes on here) and i have it in my car, seems a bit pokier and more economical, but then again i did have none synthetic in before!! anyone else had any experience with it? what do u think? im impressed so far!

yep exactly the same gearing/engine but the 106 is 15kg heavier (f**k all) despite what many people believe as the 106 being slower, its not!

I drive a saxo VTS and its amazing how they do keep up with 150-180bhp bigger cars! i think alot of it is because it has a shortish gearbox, it revs pretty high (7400 limit). Ive noticed that it doesn't perform well at all with more than 2 people in the car because it relies on power:weight...

my gf has just bought a 172 as some may know, and i noticed the v5 was totally fucked, same as fUbar, it says saloon? and no model or anything.. also the co2 emissions are 194g/km, i thought 172s were lik 210?
