Have you bought a licence from Fastchip to get the unit unlocked? Second hand ones are locked to the original owners car and won't work on any other.

I think so, an ex Vauxhall mechanic said if it's not the sender unit (which it isn't) a single gauge can die without affecting the rest of the pod. So £20ish quid on ebay will get me another, plus after research it seems like quite an easy job to replace it, so I should be able to swap them...

Other than changing the belts and dephaser, turns out the water pump was f*cked which was that metallic spinning noise we couldn't figure it, the alternator bracket was f*cked which meant it had rattled itself to death, the oil pressure sensor was snapped off, the sump was leaking from...

It's more poorly than we thought, so it's still in theatre being operated on.

You just wants something to replace that embarrassing KK sticker you've got.

The alternator was f*cked, I get the car back tomorrow with a new one.
