They are the department that deal with keeping customers, hence the name retentions.
Most customer focussed companies have a similar department, at Sky they were called Turnaround
I probably will get the N80 but if I was to choose the N70 or W810i I'd get the same 750 xnet minutes & 750 texts but on a 12 month contract at only £20 p/month
If there was a nice sized alternative available with wi-fi then I'd probably buy that instead but unfortunately there are not many great phones available right now. If the N73 was available then it'd be my first choice.
I hate phones4u, staff are far to pushy and forever try to tell you how good a deal they are offering you even when it's s**t in comparison to another deal I've been offered elsewhere. I had my latest experience with them on Saturday and found they don't really listen to what you want...
o2 have now added the N80 to the website. Some customers have received texts confirming that the phone is now in stock.

I wonder why some online stores are happy to allow online customers collect the phone from stores on upgrade but others will not. Very weird. Several people have made the same arrangements as me here

That's a bugger :( It worked for me and the o2 store confirmed that they have the stock there already and I can collect in the morning when they are officially available. The store will not give you the tariff, that's dealt with on the phone with retentions. All the store do is provide the phone.
The negative views I read were from people who purchased the Game lastnight/today. Having said that I've also read some very positive reviews so I may well give it a try for myself.
ozzyo get o2 retentions to give you a deal you are happy with for the N80, phone your local o2 shop and they will reserve it for you to collect tomorrow when they become available. That's what I'm doing.
The retail outlets are receiving stock first.
I was planning on buying this but initial comments I've read online from people who have bought the game are very negative. Apparently it suffers from framerate issues and very long loading times. I didn't enjoy the TD Unlimited demo so I'll not plan on buying it.
It is definately worth the money. I paid for the annual subscription too and cannot be happier with the service. Far better than my old Origin B2, RA Compact, Snooper's and Micro Roadpilot.
Yeah that's very true and the car is needed to get me to the airport and back on wed/thurs this week. I have to say it is running far better than it ever has so I reckon the failing exhaust has been causing some performance issues for a while now.
I'd considered the e900 when I noticed it on the o2 website but I couldn't find any reviews or info on it. I'll go read gsmarena :)
From the brief details I did read on mobile review it looks like a good phone.
Yeah that was me who posted the Somerfield thread several months ago. I still use the Talex Lite and it is excellent. The database is very accurate and new temp sites are updated very quickly. I've owned several gps camera systems and some of those cost over £400, I can honestly say the Talex is...
