When you add corners though that comes down to skill. You're an experienced circuit driver so I can well believe you can pass an average driver in a Leon TDI.
There is something wrong with your Clio if a Bora TDi is keeping up unless it is heavily modified.
I had a run with a C320 CDI and later a C350 CDI in my 182 keeping up until we both backed off at 100 ish and they are near 400 lbft monsters.
I'd take a dci over a 1.2 anyway. Martin172 will be in here at some point he loves them. Have a look on cliodci.net I believe Martin is involved in that too.
I'd forgotten how high standard 172's were.
Top marks to your gf though, top quality coilovers and an awesome present. You really need a cup spoiler to finish it off. Nice motor.
Mark you say overtakes are easier? Is that just because it is more lazy because according to the figures if you're in the right gear a 200 is as quick if not a little quicker than the ST.
I sat in one of these yesterday though at Oulton Park. Lovely motor. Sat in an EDC too and preferred the Ford.
I love my decat on my 182. Combined with the Scorpion SRN019 exhaust it isn't overly boomy on the motorway (far less than a standard twin silenced ktec stealth on my 172 was) and it sounds lovely when going through the gears.
Love it Mark. I really fancy one of these in the future. RS Clio pace, manual gearbox, good handing and as said about the MASSIVE bonus of good economy.
Nobody will give a s**t. Especially as it wasn't your fault anyway. What % of the general public would notice whether their number plate had the makers name and postcode on.
