Bolt the spacer on, then offer up the wheel onto spacer.
Put a pencil through the wheel bolt holes,then you can see how long you stud will need to be.
Di it level with the outside of the wheel as you don't want them sticking out too far.

We cannot guess on the net, it could even be the crank shims have come out and the noise is the flywheel rubbing on the block!
This will only make a noise when the clutch is engaged.
