I think i'd go for uprated mounts if I was to get another 1*2. Can't stand engine movement.
Get yourself back down to ktec for a SC conversion and go beating the AMG's!
Hopefully the weather will be good.

14.8 isn't bad for a 1.4 ;)
What engine mounts are you using out of interest? My 1*2 did not like to even be driven hard in 1st on the standard (new) mounts. I didn't ever launch it because I felt there was too much engine movement and it would damage it.
Not sure mate, the new owner has sorted it I think. I think it was engine mount related though as I had it before I had the mounts changed and it went away. It came back when it snowed going over icey ruts in the road. I think an engine mount had worked its way loose.
I had a similar one in my 172. Pull away knock, slow down knock.
Engine mounts in 1*2's are nightmares. I really wish they lasted like they do on 90% of normal cars.
Anything goes in my £595 Mazda i'm running now.
When I had my Clios eating and drinking are fine just try not to spill anything and don't leave anything in the car. I don't have a problem with eating, nothing hoover can't sort out. Drinks are essential for me on a long journey so i'm fine...
The circumstances are a bit unlucky but if you get the 6 points for driving without insurance your basically screwed.
Exect to pay a fortune for insurance on your 1.2 and don't expect to drive anything remotely quick for 5 years until your conviction no longer needs declaring.
I couldn't live with a fully stripped out car. I had no idea how many stones flick into the arches until I went out in a stripped car.
Personally i'd leave the sound deadening in, and if I was to get a cage and harnesses i'd still use carpet. It may not be the lightest option but for the sake...
They're impressive cars the Mk2 Dci's. I'm a big fan of them. MPG is epic and even a standard 80 feels fairly nippy.
MK3 Dci's are no good imo. I've driven an 86 and it felt gutless, the weight kills both the nippyness and mpg.
