To be fair petrol used to be a lot cheaper. When petrol was low 80p's a litre about 18 months ago you'd only need 38ish mpg to get 100 miles to a tenner. That same 38mpg will now get you 72 miles. In reality at todays prices if you get a 172 to do 60 miles to a tenner your doing ok.

You car sounds amazing Chris. I'd run that exact setup if I had a 182.

Go for the PH1 airbox mate. JonF has just got one and he's made up with it. Its just generally a better product than the PH2 airbox, gives better throttle response and suposed to be a bit more power too albeit probably not noticable. Espace V6 airbox is almost the same too, suposed to be...

I wouldn't mind the dual optics off that. They're in mint condition. He should swap for free, as his cars a shitter and can't be made worse, but mine can be made a lot better with nice dual optics. Doing the world a favour imo.

Soft spot for these. Nearly bought one a while back. Pugsport, Newman cams, Map, Janspeed manifold, Raceland induction kit, 406 Brembo's and coilovers was the spec I was hoping to achieve.

Superb upgrade. Its mad how they have the same size engine though, 3.2 is huge in a Golf, albeit it isnt that powerful but it terms of capasity.
