A couple of the NW lads at the meet on Monday reccomended these to me NATIONAL ALLOYS WIDNES REPAIR WHEELS 0151 495 1880. Had a quote for £35 per wheel with or without tyres for my 15" Oz F1 cups refubed in the standard silver.
I've got a standard stealth on order. I was going to go for the supersports but I didn't want too much drone. If it isn't loud enough i'll just decat it.
Not realy worth it on a 1.2, Ktec do a remap its about an extra 8bhp claimed iirc. You would be better taking weight out of the car, less weight = more performance and economy.
Maybe I should go for a centrebox one then. I went out in a yozza'd 182 yesterday and that didn't drone cruising. I thought the stealths where supposed to be quieter.
As above. Anybody got any reason why I shouldn't get one?
I'm not bothered how loud it is when going having a blast and i've heard they're fine when at low revs and low throttle openings.
Opinions?
Looks good mate, looks like a dynamique from the outside.
Get an RS or even dynamique interior in there aswell, the interiors in the expression are shocking imo.
It will be engine mounts I think. Mine knocks in 1st when accelerating hard, think the dogbone mount needs doing, there doesn't feel to be much engine movement though.
Re: Mk1 172 Hybrid Track Car Project
Shame its not going to be used on the road anymore. I supose if you want a hardcore track car it can only realy be for track. Will it not be insured/taxed for road anymore when you get the 2nd car then?
That would be good mate. What do you think of it? I've been in a Cup with a standard stealth with centre box removed because the baffles had gone so was in essence a supersport. It was fairl quiet under 3k just driving normally but sounded awful at full throttle and higher up the revs. Thats...
lol @ this thread. All hot hatches are realy similar straight line speed, some mod better than others which is a big factor, this is usually down to whether they're N/A or forced induction as i'm sure everybody knows.
I lose no sleep over what could or couldn't beat my car.
