I beg to differ on that mate, when I was looking last year, even some up for the 11/12k mark (non recorded etc) were complete heaps. I guess it's luck of the draw though. You think they are pointless anyway so you opinion doesn't really count.

They stopped making them a few years ago. You may get lucky though.

Iirc it came of with a bit of force (just a shrp twist really) not enough force to bend the gear stick etc.

A complete engine swap would be less than £750 tbh, I think that somone supplying the engine & doing the work would come to about £500 (ish) Have you considered selling it as spares ?? What's the rest of the car like apart from the engine ?
