Your insurance are supposed to contact his insurance. Thats how it works. Failing that, ring up his insurance yourself. Your insurance company can tell you who he's insured through using his reg.

Am I the only one who thinks that out of the box the 172/182 is perfect already for fast road use? Only thing I would want to change is the brakes: Braided lines, decent fluid, performance pads with OEM discs.

You're going to find it very hard to remove now you've done the above. The dash needs to be flat in its original position to slide off.

early 172 registered late is my bet.

lift the plastic cover, undo the nut (10mm iirc) and use a pulling tool to remove it from the splines.

sounds good mileage, but the above still applies.

The dash slides off... thats what it does. It's tricky, but you need to slide it towards you and lift upwards at the same time. If you get impatient and just start tugging at the thing, it will end up like this.

I didn't know they made white P1s... thought they were all blue.
