I really wouldn't try to make a 172 replica, to me it's a complete waste of cash.
Personally i'd save up (put a bit away each week etc) till I had the money to be able to do some nice mods - like Kris has just said.
I'd go with subtle bits that you can remove from it when you come to sell up...
172boost - I bet after you drive it you'll want one:) Take it for a spin up your local high street & watch every one look at it open mouthed, some may even take pics of it (I still get that) They're such an asw car ;)
Tbh there is no reason why a cup should cost more than an identical ff 172, the cup cost about 3k less new anyway.
If anything the prices of cups are about the same, or in some cases less than the ff 172.

Exactly, it's the bidders own silly fault for not checking.
If they want to pay over the odds for it (I assume it'll top the retail price) then it's their own fault.
Battery light should come on for about 5 secs when you swtich the ignition on, it shouldn't be on for 2 mins at all. It could be the alternator if the batt light comes on though.
