The best way to improve performance on a 1.2 would be to strip it, decat it, coilies, leightweigh alloys and the best tyres on the market.
Obviously that isnt the best possible setup but it is probably the best cost v improvement setup.
imo of course
Garmin all the way. I got my garmin nuvi 200 for £99.99 on boxing day this year and they're still £99.99 now, it hasnt depreciated atall :D couldnt recommend it more.
They remap to around 125bhp i think aswell. I'd consider a twingo gt as they're coming down a lot now. With a nice set of alloys and coilies it could be a weapon.
Bloody hell, hot hatchs have a tough life though don't they because they're designed to be thrashed. I wouldnt buy a 175k 172 for more than a few hundred quid.
+1 It must have s**t loads of grip to do that without just understeering. I've seen clarkson do that in a 182 aswell. evo magazine actually says "the most fun you can have on three wheels..." about the trophy
I recon my 1.2 would maybe the slowest if i went. Mind you i'm sure CorsaB club or something have been there with there 1.0 Envoys with 5" Exhausts and done worse.
When i start trackdays i'm going to go to bedford autodrome because it has the big runoff's etc. Sorry to see this mate, it must be gutting for you, chin up though.
