Sounds like the life of a looser to me.

The gearbox oil usually comes in those little bottles with a long spout thingy.I always manage to use just that.

Is it a two piece drive shaft then?

I would drain the oil down to the correct level and try it to see how it runs and just keep an eye on everything.I got the part No,identified by Renault so it should be correct
