My parents have the ixus 70, i have the ixus 750. Both cameras last for about 200 photo's, turning the camera off between shots. We both just plug the battery in and leave it overnight to charge, the charger will stop charging when the battery is at full capacity. Just buy a spare battery...

Really? :S I would get the car checked over in that case, because the Ph1 172 handles fantastically on standard suspension. Yours must be broken if it handles as bad as you make out.
