Have you got facebook? If so, genuinely, I have a suggestion.... Post up the story some samsung's facebook page and ask "is there anything I can do to get it back to working condition". Due to the fact you were going out to save someone, if you word it correctly, they may jump on it as a PR...

Personally I'd rather just change how I used a smart phone. Remove all email accounts, all social media apps. Then all you've got is a tool and a phone. The phone can be used for phone stuff, the tool, for when you get lost and need a map, or need to see what time your next bus/train is.

I'll most probably come along. Weather dependant on a bike. It'd be good to get out somewhere one evening too though? Given they're long warm evenings at the moment.
