apart from the cost of the insurance, you must check out the excess. i have a voluntery £250.00 on mine, but its £200.00 to begin with. the insurance is only £400.00 (im 24 with 3 yrs ncd) but the excess is £450.00!!! im with elephant.

mine got to 91k when the oil pressure pump died & there for mashed the engine. now its gone one thats done about 69k - 1994 M reg.
