    Thoughts on this car

That's just not a well cared for motor. I don't care about minor imperfections but you can just see that the owner of that car really did not care. At all. Broken gear gaitor, fudged steering wheel, kerbed wheels, all things that are caused by carelessness.

The hunt for the missing Vees

If they all sold out, why not make more?? Seems like a nice little earner there!
  5. Rob

    so...driveshaft/bearings, etc just disintegrated

What side? Easy enough to change, even yourself, but the drivers side is "dry", the passenger side is wet so you'll have to drain the GB oil to do that one.

    Is this anyone's off here??

I'd buy this car just to meet the chap TBH, proper legend.

    little run around

It often works out to be such a false economy... but if you do buy a second motor I'd love an honest breakdown of costs. ALL costs.

HELP, clunking spring noise from gaz back springs

Get us some pictures of under the back of the car and we'll try to help.

How well do f4r engines sell?

They sell relatively well, and I'd even say that most people will buy them for more if the belts have been done as long as you can honestly say you know what you're doing. It doesn't really matter if you're not a specialist, as long as you don't start talking about tipex etc then I'd say...

    ***How much is it worth?***

Cracking input there Wick, you must be looking at buying again to be doing that well with the figures?

    New wheel, smoke!!

OK, but it's at your own risk.. the reason I suggest it is because that's what burnt out on mine when it smoked, it basically melted. So removing it should stop the smoke.

    New wheel, smoke!!

Carry on typing in capitals and I'l stop reply, my eyes hurt. Cut the metal triangle off and it should work I'm not 100% on this, but it worked for me.

Will I fit a door and rear bumper in the back of the Clio?

It's easily possible. Easily. Fold the front seat flat backwards and the rear seats down. Door across the massive rear bit, then bumper over and onto the seat. Easy peasy. I got a whole clio interior in a clio with a whole interior, seats, door cards, the lot. AND I had a passenger.

    New wheel, smoke!!

Is there a bar running along the middle of the horn? Like at the top? Cut that out and give it another go.

    Differential

I'd remove your box and have it refurbed or replace it with another second hand one.

November Photography Competition - Voting Thread

Lots of good'uns this month! I'm going to have to take part in this, give me a reason to take pictures. I think 5's got it for me though, it's got a real nice mood to it.

    My new car... meet Ruby.

I was going to say it sounds like they need cleaning and sealing, but TBH, if you get them done somewhere properly, and then protect them, they will look better. What are the tyre prices like Laura??

    My new car... meet Ruby.

Silver looks perfect, it's really not a car that needs grey wheels and the colours work perfectly together as they are. The only real exception for grey wheels is white because white and silver can look odd.

    My new car...

Re: My new car..... Christ. You're an interesting person to return to the club that's for sure. So I've got to buy one of these next to fit in then? Oh go on then. It looks bloody lovely though, interior looks so damn pretty there too.

    A Day in London

When are we going? London eye shot is the best for me too, not the usual one you see, but a really nice composition.

    New wheel, smoke!!

Live and neutral the wrong way around, meaning that the earth bar (running across the top of the horn) is shorting on the live I think.
