When I've had outer joints go on Clio's (twice) it's been when putting shed loads of pressure on that it noticed.

Also, why did the shaft you sourced have a new CV gaitor kit on it? To me, that sounds like it's split before, so has possibly ran dry. It's possible you've replaced the shaft with one that's got the exact same problem.... Are you bringing this to the unit Saturday? If it's left handers...

I was going to suggest purple tint film for the fogs, could look quite nice. Also, you could go a little different and do a flag in the bottom grille. It'd be quite hard, and you'd have to wrap a few lines of the grille to make it work, but it could look pretty cool. Really nice motor...
