I've got 15mm all round, lowered on Bilstein B14s. I discussed with k-tec quite a bit before getting mine done and they advised going no more than 15mm if I was going to use it hard on track (which I am). Mine is on standard 172 (non cup) wheels, unsure of there offset.
Clio boot is a good idea Chris mate, I was going to stick a thread up this week for early Jan as we discussed, but i'll judge what people say on this thread before I do. PS - how did my bits and bobs go? Can't wait to see them on Tuesday - much excitement :)
No worries, I've left it at aforementioned mates garage, so when I finally get a garage I'll take it apart, stare at it like a gormless monkey, then attempt to put it together, telling myself its a learning experience.
I have my old gearbox you can have, let you practice on it without breaking yours lol. It's kaput, so after you've finished with it, throw it away. You'll need to let me know as its up in Warwick at mates so I'll need to pick it up.
Brentacre are excellent, basically all mods are covered up to a certain power limit. I'll be going with them this year as their quoted price for mods upto 200bhp is excellent. It covers my LSD, full cage etc etc for no extra.
Knuckles - be very careful with elephant / Admiral / Bell. I took a...
I get whine / wind noise from my k-tec induction kit. And I know its not the gearbox, as I had a new one with LSD fitted at the same time k-tec gave me the induction kit to trial on mine.
I would have gone for the Bimarcos, but I don't fit in them.
So opted for the Sparco Evo seats, incredibly comfortable and come in a larger size for more rounded individuals like myself :)
I think you'll miss the flamer, but I'm a little biased ;) You'll miss it even more so when you detail mine in January like we discussed :)
The red 197 posted above does look nice though. Good luck with the sale Dawn!
I agree. And just to prove how much I agree, all my work has been done by K-Tec, and yes, they are expensive, but they never let me down and I believe you get what you pay for. My record is £3.2k (not the clio) for a major service - lol, the car got sold shortly after it as I just couldn't...
Err, it was a question. Nowhere in this whole thread have I said £98 labour for the above items was 'over priced'. I haven't given him a hard time for someone charging what in my eyes is upto them to charge whatever they want. I was more amazed that out of most of the items listed above, I would...
Sorry OP - I have sad panda face now. It is quite a lot in one go, so you should have got 6 months tax to avoid being in the same position next year. Fingers crossed it sees you through the year and good luck with your internship.
Look on the bright side;
This week next year will be nearly just as expensive, as you will likely need nearly all of what you paid for again. At least you'll know it's coming though :)
